I WANT TO PAY YOU TO FIX YOUR TYPOS
So I know we don’t know one another but I’ll give it to you straight anyway: you make mistakes.
That’s okay. So do I! We’re human. We have that human-ness in common.
The problem is that some of your customers, readers, clients, etc., don’t like our shared humanness (it’s a real word). They expect you to be a machine.
These people don’t like to see grammar, spelling, syntax, or obvious formatting mistakes in your emails, posts, tweets or anything produced in your name that is delivered to their eyes in the form of the written word.
As human as I am, I will admit that I don’t like to see mistakes either. It bothers me. It bothers me so much that I want to start a service on the side to help you become typo-free.
Another thing that bothers me is lengthy sales pitches, so I’ll keep this brief.
I’m going to lay on the cheesiness here: I really want you to succeed.
If you’re here because I found a mistake on your website or because you heard me advertise the service on my incredibly new podcast, I’m here to help you.
This is a service I’m experimenting with. I want to do what is fair and what makes you comfortable, so we can bargain, barter, banter, beg, buy…you get the idea.
Ideally, I would love for you to share my service with other humans, so let’s make a deal.
Here’s my proposal.
You can either be a Pay-As-You-Go or a Monthly customer, with plans spelled-out below. Hopefully there aren’t any typos.
I Will Pay You
If you bring your customers to my site, I will discount the service, to the point where I will pay you if you really hook me up.
You’ll see my service is pretty cheap, so you could make a lot of side cash if you bring me the goods.
Here are the plan options.
- $5 to preview a post/page before or after you publish
- $20 to send you an error list for a new or draft post/page
- $100 to review 10 previous posts and pages, FIND AND SEND YOU A LIST of existing errors, dead links, etc.
Progress will be tracked in a shared Google Drive spreadsheet.
Pay-As-You-Go Plus (EDITOR ACCESS)
$10 to preview AND edit a post within your admin page. This means you will grant me temporary admin rights. I will let you know the changes I made.
$50 to review 10 previous posts and pages, FIND AND FIX existing errors, dead links, etc. Progress will be tracked in a shared Google Drive spreadsheet.
Pay-As-You-Go Social Media (billed in $5 increments)
50 cents to review each tweet, Facebook post, etc. with a 30 minute turnaround (during awake USA-Pacific Time hours).
- $50 Review and edit 1 – 8 posts per month
- $75 Review and edit 9 – 15 posts per month
Monthly Plus (EDITOR ACCESS)
- $25 Review and edit 1 – 8 posts per month
- $40 Review and edit 9 – 15 posts per month
